The United States is amidst a situation of national civil unrest unlike any it has seen since April, 1861.
Municipal officers, state regulators, even senators of the Republican Party are opposing the actions of their new 100-day presidential wonder.
Trump is a man who is used to getting what he wants by using economic muscle to bully and intimidate his opposition until they surrender.
He stepped into his office located in the White House with his usual mindset and immediately began to issue his executive orders.
What Trump doesn’t understand is that he did not step into his office, but rather he entered the White House and in so doing, onto the world stage of both politics and diplomacy. This is an arena for which he is totally unprepared and apparently unsuited for.
Many look back over his first 100 days in power and say,
“Yeah well, he’s making a few mistakes, but he will get the hang of it.”
President is not a training ground for newbies. The world has no time for Donny to learn to ride without his training wheels.
It is not that he lacks certain skills. Trump brings to the conference table, the backbone, aggression, and determination to do whatever it takes to achieve the bottom line.
The problem is, he is not in the boardroom with other ruthless executives. He is a world leader representing a nation full of duly elected officials at the federal, state and municipal level.
Women and men who, for the most part, he sees as weak and ineffective, or as he promised,
“People, we’re going to drain the swamp, I promise.”
What Donny is discovering is all those elected officials are made of different stuff than men like him. Yes, some elected officials are ineffective, almost useless, but I can name you two big shot wall street type executives who are in jail for every elected official who has been put behind bars.
Truth is, the vast majority of elected officials are elected because they really care about the people they represent, they really want to honour the principles of democracy and freedom and realize you just can’t do what you want to do, but you must work in unison for the betterment of all.
In other words, Trump may be trying to use his backbone and take no prisoner attitude to plow his way through the economic highway, but the elected officials standing in his way are fortified by the moral fibre of integrity, something Trump has shown little or no respect for.
Trump is about to discover a seven billion dollar empire isn’t even a pot to piss in, compared to what he is up against on the world stage.
I predict a new kind of civil war is brewing in the White House kitchen. When it boils over, Donald Trump is going to discover he is no Chef Ramsay.
