There are moments in all of our lives when we need to sit and reflect. To look out at our world and really think about what it all means to us and what we are doing about it.
You may need to reflect on your immediate situation. Perhaps your marriage, your children, or your ageing parents.
To reflect on: Where am I, and where am I going? More importantly, where do I want to wind up?
You may reflect on the environment and what role you are playing, positive or negative. Again, most important, are you happy with the role you are playing or do you wish to make a change, if so how?
Is your career something you enjoy or are you beating your head against the wall? What can you do, what do you want to do?
Where is your community headed? Your county? Even your nation? We all play a part, and it takes all of us to make a world.
Yes, we are a speck in the universe, but remember the story:
“A nail was forgotten and the shoe fell from the horse. The horse floundered and the general fell from the saddle and was trampled in the battle. With the general gone, the army faltered and was defeated, and the nation was vanquished and history was changed forever.”
It is worthwhile to reflect on even the smallest nail in your life.
In your journalforlife, set aside five minutes each day for the remainder of the week, to reflect upon who you are, where are you going, and where do you wish to be.
